THE ART & TECHNIQUE OF ISADORA DUNCAN Winter-Spring 2020 Term: February 4-June 3
Class Offerings for Toddlers, Preschoolers, Youth, and Teens/Adults
The choreographic etudes of Isadora Duncan explore, through the action/rest continuum, the dynamic relationship between affiliation and solitude. Celebrating Nature’s unity and rhythm, these dances, remembering ancient rituals and archetypes, are simultaneously tribal and divine. The indomitable human spirit, ever hopeful, is present in this choreography and in all true healing. Duncan Dance classes for children offer a non-competitive environment designed to encourage healthy emotional, creative, and physical development. Dicki Johnson Macy BC-DMT, M.Ed., LMHC, IDMA, has for the past 30+ years encouraged children trained in this technique to remain responsive to beautiful music and to the joyful movements inspired by nature.
Please join us during the Dance Complex Open House on Sunday, September 29, 9:00AM for a fun morning of movement and singing! FREE and Open to the Public for caretakers and their children 0-3.5 years of age. Pre-registration is suggested as spots are limited. We look forward to seeing you there!

This Summer has been full of excitement here at BCF! We invite you to check out our most recent Newsletter, highlighting new Rainbowdance Trainings, Cambridge Dance Classes, and teacher awards. Furthermore, we are pleased to congratulate and Spotlight long-time BCF and Duncan dance community member Valerie Blanc, who recently earned her PhD at Lesley University.
April 2019 was a busy month for BCF! In addition to ongoing trainings in Sonoma, CA, Washington, D.C., and locally in Boston, Dicki, Rachel & Robert travelled to Enfield, CT to spread the magic of Rainbowdance. For the very first time in Enfield area school districts, the largest gathering of educators, mental health clinicians, school administrators, and community members came together to train in the Basic Attunement Model of Rainbowdance. Congratulations to the 37 newest Rainbowdance trainees!
Registration is now open for our new Advanced Rainbowdance Endorsement Training, open to those members of our community who have attended a Basic Training and have fulfilled their 20 hours in the field doing Rainbowdance. For more information, please email Rachel at: rassaf1@gmail.com.
